Biography

Shalie lipp, rising mma star

“My name is Shalie Lipp. I grew up in Breckenridge, MN but later graduated from Perham High School in 2020. For as long as I can remember I have had aspirations of becoming a professional athlete. I competed in just about every sport my school had to offer, but I stood out most in gymnastics and track & field. After graduating, I accepted a full ride scholarship from Delaware State University to compete at the division 1 level in track & field. Due to complicated issues with Covid-19 I decided to continue my education along with my track & field career closer to home, at North Dakota State University. That decision forced me to sit out a year per NCAA rules and the contract I signed binding me to Delaware State University.

Despite losing another season of competition I sought for something to fill the void until I could return to track & field. I found kickboxing/mixed martial arts at the Academy of Combat Arts in Fargo, ND. I trained for about 6 months before deciding to test my skills and fight. After fighting I immediately knew this is what I wanted to do, and there was no time to waste if I wanted to make it to the top. I withdrew from NDSU to train martial arts full time.

Now, after a year and a half of training I have fought 6 times. I recently won the Muay Thai (Kickboxing) World Expo Championship, the largest Muay Thai event in North America! My next venture is an upcoming MMA bout in Chicago, IL, and I am beyond excited to keep competing, learning, and growing as I transition into my professional career as a fighter.”
